MRS. KATIE MASSIE
Lead Montessori Directress & Head of AMI Montessori Pedagogy
Mrs. Massie is an AMI-certified Montessori Directress and a mother of twin boys who attended Montessori school in their early years. She serves as the Head Casa Directress and School Supervisor at Fairport Montessori Academy, leading our Children’s House I community with depth, clarity, and pedagogical precision.

Mrs. Massie received her AMI training from Mrs. Renilde Montessori at the Foundation for Montessori Education (FME) in Toronto. With over 25 years of Montessori experience, she has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility, most recently overseeing the Quality Assurance Program for 12 Montessori schools across the Durham Region.
At Fairport, she leads the Montessori Quality Assurance (MQA) program across all Children’s House environments, ensuring fidelity to AMI standards while nurturing vibrant, purposeful classroom communities.
Children’s House II (AMI, 3-6)
MRS. HANNA ST-ONGE
Lead Montessori Directress & Chief of Staff
Mrs. St-Onge is an AMI-trained Montessori Directress and a mother of two daughters who attended Montessori school in their early years. She leads Children’s House II at Fairport Montessori Academy and serves as Chief of Staff, bringing steady leadership and exceptional organizational clarity to the school community.

She completed her AMI Primary training at the Foundation for Montessori Education (FME) in Toronto, specializing in children ages 3–6. With over 15 years of experience working with young children, she most recently led her own AMI Home Montessori School in Brooklin.
Prior to her Montessori training, Mrs. St-Onge completed two undergraduate degrees in Sign Language and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, equipping her with a deep understanding of communication development. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom, having served in philanthropic initiatives supporting education, Alzheimer’s research, and Muscular Dystrophy advocacy.
Children’s House III (AMI, 3-6)
MS. JESSICA HOLMES
Lead Montessori Directress
Ms. Holmes is an AMI-trained Montessori Directress specializing in the 3–6 age group. She completed her AMI training at the Southwest Institute for Montessori Studies (SIMS) and has been a valued member of the Fairport community since 2020.

With extensive experience in Montessori schools, Ms. Holmes brings both technical expertise and heartfelt dedication to her classroom. She is deeply passionate about supporting young children during their most formative years, guiding them toward independence, confidence, and joy in learning.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Holmes has a strong love for the outdoors — camping, fishing, and even ice fishing — a spirit of adventure that mirrors the curiosity and resilience she cultivates in her students.
Young Children’s House (AMI, 0-3)
MRS. CLAUDIA LUSTOSA
Lead Montessori Directress
Mrs. Lustosa is an AMI-trained Montessori Directress specializing in the 0–3 age group and serves as the Lead Teacher in the Young Children’s House at Fairport Montessori Academy. She completed her AMI training at Instituto Montessori Valencia in Valencia, Spain, and brings a wealth of Montessori experience to her role.

A mother of two children, Mrs. Lustosa combines deep professional knowledge with a natural warmth and attentiveness that creates a nurturing and secure environment for our youngest learners. Her calm presence, careful observation, and unwavering respect for the child are hallmarks of her classroom.
Her work reflects a true understanding of the importance of the first three years of life — building independence, language, coordination, and trust in a thoughtfully prepared environment.
Lower Elementary House (AMI, 6-12)
MONSIEUR TRISTAN THOMPSON
Lead Montessori Director
Monsieur Thompson is an AMI-trained Montessori Director who completed his Elementary training at the Southwest Institute for Montessori Studies (SIMS). He joined Fairport Montessori Academy in 2021 and currently leads the Lower Elementary House.

Fully bilingual in English and French, Monsieur Thompson brings dynamic leadership, natural presence, and strong classroom stewardship to the Elementary environment. His energetic and engaging personality brings Dr. Maria Montessori’s vision of Elementary life to life daily — cultivating intellectual curiosity, collaborative inquiry, and purposeful independence.
Under his leadership, the Lower Elementary community thrives through small-group research, Going Outs, interdisciplinary exploration, and meaningful academic depth.
Upper Elementary House (AMI, 6-12)
MADAME MARIANA DAOU
Lead Montessori Directress
Madame Daou is an AMI-trained Montessori Director who completed her Elementary training at the Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE). She leads the Upper Elementary House at Fairport Montessori Academy with thoughtful leadership and academic rigor.

A mother of three children — including twins — all of whom attend Montessori, Mme Daou brings both professional expertise and lived Montessori experience to her classroom. Having grown up in Montreal, Quebec, she is fully bilingual in English and French and provides dynamic bilingual leadership within the Upper Elementary environment.
Her classroom reflects the spirit of the Second Plane of Development: intellectual depth, moral exploration, collaboration, and independence. She guides students toward confident self-expression, critical thinking, and strong community citizenship.

Madame Constance Abramovicz
French Curriculum Lead
Madame Abramovicz is an AMI-trained Montessori educator and serves as the French Curriculum Lead at Fairport Montessori Academy. She completed her AMI training at Montessori Northwest (USA) and holds MACTE certification for the Primary age group. She specializes in French instruction for children ages 6–12 and has been instrumental in pioneering and refining Fairport’s bilingual Montessori program.

As acting French Curriculum Lead, Mme Abramovicz oversees the implementation of the French curriculum across all age groups at Fairport, providing leadership and mentorship to a team of 11 French-speaking educators. Her work ensures continuity, authenticity, and alignment with AMI principles while fostering meaningful language acquisition across the school.
A mother of three boys, all of whom attend Montessori, Mme Abramovicz brings both
professional expertise and lived Montessori experience to her leadership. Her dynamic presence, high standards, and deep respect for the child have shaped a French program that is vibrant, rigorous, and seamlessly integrated into the Montessori continuum.
Lead Sports Coach
Mrs. Elizabeth Humphrey
UNDER 6 PROGRAM
Mrs. Humphrey is an AMI-trained Montessori educator and serves as the Lead Sports Coach for the Under 6 Program at Fairport Montessori Academy. She completed her AMI Primary training
at the Foundation for Montessori Education (FME) and has also completed specialized AMI Montessori Sports training, equipping her to guide purposeful movement within the Montessori framework.

A mother of twin children who attend Montessori, Mrs. Humphrey brings warmth, strength, and consistency to our youngest learners. She understands that movement is foundational to cognitive and emotional development in early childhood and designs sports experiences that support coordination, confidence, independence, and joy.
Her leadership ensures that our Under 6 sports program is developmentally appropriate, aligned with Montessori principles, and grounded in respect for each child’s natural growth.

Mr. Brandon Lauzon
ELEMENTARY PROGRAM
Mr. Lauzon serves as the Lead Sports Coach for the Elementary Program at Fairport Montessori Academy. He has completed his AMI Montessori Sports training and has been a pioneering force in building Fairport’s Elementary Sports Program.

Under his leadership, the program has expanded to include intramural partnerships with other private schools, integration of sports into Elementary Going Outs, and the development of a structured, skill-based athletic curriculum that mirrors public board offerings while remaining
grounded in Montessori principles.
A father of three children—two of whom are twins—all attending Montessori, Mr. Lauzon brings both lived Montessori experience and a strong athletic and academic background to his work. His leadership blends discipline, teamwork, strategy, and character-building, ensuring that sports at Fairport are not extracurricular—but integral to the Elementary experience.

Mrs. Sandra Castaldi
Mrs. Castaldi has served as Food Service Director at Fairport Montessori Academy since 2020 and is a deeply valued member of our educational team. A graduate of George Brown College’s Chef Training Program, she is certified through the Canadian Restaurant and Food Services Association and brings professional culinary excellence to our school community.

A mother of two daughters, Mrs. Castaldi combines technical skill with heartfelt care. She understands that nourishment is foundational to learning and prepares meals that are balanced, wholesome, and thoughtfully aligned with the needs of growing children.

Dr. Nader Kabboul is the Founder and Head of School at Fairport Montessori Academy. He holds a Doctorate from the University of Toronto and brings a unique background in public health, leadership, and strategic development to the field of education.

Before founding Fairport, Dr. Kabboul spent over 15 years in the medical industry, serving in commercial, medical, and government affairs roles of increasing responsibility. His professional journey was marked by leadership across healthcare, education advocacy, and community development initiatives.
As a father of four children—Maya and triplets Noah, Emma, and Ava—all educated within Montessori environments, Dr. Kabboul experienced firsthand the profound impact of Montessori education. This personal conviction led him to immerse himself deeply in Dr. Maria Montessori’s body of work and ultimately establish Fairport Montessori Academy as the only AMI-recognized Montessori school in Whitby and Durham Region.
Dr. Kabboul’s leadership blends strategic vision with principled stewardship. He is committed to protecting the integrity of AMI Montessori education while building a thriving, inclusive, and forward-looking school community. His work focuses not only on academic excellence, but on cultivating confident, capable, and compassionate human beings.
Vice Principal and Adult Learning Strategist
MRS. ASHLEY QUINLAN
Mrs. Ashley (Ash) Quinlan serves as Vice Principal and Adult Learning Strategist at Fairport Montessori Academy. She brings extensive experience in leadership development, organizational training, and culture-building, having led learning initiatives within global organizations such as Lululemon and Tesla.

As a mother of two, Mrs. Quinlan brings a deeply personal understanding of child development and family partnership to her work. She is passionate about building learning environments—both for adults and children—that are respectful, collaborative, and rooted in purpose.
